Questions shops actually ask
My partner just texts me jobs, so why change?
A text introduces the job. RefSource keeps the customer details, photos, documents, referral conversation, agreed fee, and shared status updates together, so you can follow the handoff through payment.
What happens after my trial ends?
For a self-serve shop trial, the subscription pauses at the end if no payment method is on file. If you add a payment method, your selected plan can renew as a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel. Check Settings → Billing for your plan and trial dates.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Settings any time. No contract, no cancellation fee. You'll keep access through the end of your current billing period.
Is my customer list safe from my partners?
Yes. Referral data is isolated per tenant using row-level security in our database: your partners see only the referrals you send them, never your full customer list, your other partners, or your internal data. This is enforced technically, not just promised. Our terms spell out exactly how.
Do my referral partners have to pay?
An invited referrer can use a free partner account to send referrals to connected shops and follow the updates those shops share. That account does not receive jobs as a shop. Shop accounts have a paid subscription and can both send and receive referrals. A shop trial applies only under its stated terms.
How do partners join?
A shop can invite a referrer by email. The referrer follows the invitation to join with a free partner account and send jobs to connected shops. Inviting another shop to receive work is a different flow and does not automatically give that shop a free subscription.
How does the referral-or-refund guarantee work?
Complete onboarding and invite three referral partners: other shops, or the plumbers, electricians and contractors you work with. If no referral is moving within 30 days of your first paid day, we refund every dollar you've paid and keep working the network with you, free, for up to 6 months until one does. Your first paid day is the later of your subscription start and the end of your trial, so a shop that converts from the trial still gets 30 paid days. A referral is moving when a partner shop has accepted a referral you sent or received. Email [email protected] within 14 days after your 30-day window ends to request it. It applies once per shop, to its first paid subscription. That guarantee is in your terms, not just on this page.
Will my price go up?
Not while you stay. Every shop keeps the price it subscribed at for as long as its subscription stays active, renewals included. If you change plans, the new plan is billed at its current list price. If you cancel and come back later, current pricing applies.
What's a fair referral fee?
